Habit 7 1/2

Play:
I know this one. It's what we got to do at recess. On the playground at lunch. It's what my friends and I did when we went out after working all day in a hot stuffy mill, or restaurant, or pick any job...
Now it's what I do when the chores are done here at the house, or it's when we have time. I'm searching for more of it as I get older. I plan to make a habit of it and try to make room for it in my toolbox . Life comes at you fast and before you know the day is done and you didn't find the time to relax, to read, to pray, to breath so I'm making a habit of taking the time to play to relax, to read etc....
I've included a picture of me having fun: :)

Habit 6

Using technology to my advantage:
I am using some new technology such as a new cell phone, and a new remote control. Okay the remote control is still iffy, but I'm still trying to master it. Computers and computers technology well that will be a life long learning curve. Each day I learn something new about life, about computers, about myself and I am in Aaaaaw! and if I can remember what I have learned then it is a good day! And life is good.

Habit 5

Creating my own toolbox has been interesting.

Sine my jobs vary so do my tools. My tools consist of family members whom I call on when I need sound advise. Christine is my technical advisor for all those computer related questions " and boy is she doing double duty now with all this blogging". My co-workers here are also part of my toolbox, each of them helps me needed in the varies task we handle each day.

Habit 4

Have confidence in myself as a competent , effective learner: Well that is a mouthful. I'm confident in myself if the subject is one that I'm familiar with. Unfamilar subjects make me a wee bit nervous. Trying my hand at learning new computer skills is frustrating at first, second, then third as I become confident then I become an effective learner.

Habit 3

problems as challenges!!
I analize everything. Somtimes to much. I'm pretty good at other peoples problems and can usualy give sound advise. As for myself if the situation is mechanical well !!!! I ask for help. I'm totaly all thumbs when it comes to reading and understanding information based on technology. My mind goes to mush in about zero to -2 seconds. totoal frustration. If I see how it is done chances are I'll know how to do it, remember how to do it, write down the instructions step by step. If given a map and asked how would I get from point a to point b, well folks I'd get lost, sure enough. I'll ask for directions and write them down, I'll stop and ask for help. Challenges are only problems when you dont ask for assistance when you need them.

Habit 2

I used to have some " habits" :) course I grew up and got rid of a few.
I've always accepted responsibility for my actions. Thirty + years of living with my spouse has taught me to accept the things I cannot change and the courage to change the things I can. Living among the military in various places around the world taught me a great deal. too; when the only family you have is each other sticking together means a whole lot more. I learned I could do a heck of a lot more on my own than I ever would of dreamed of doing. I treasure each and everyone of these lessons.
Habit 1:
My goal:
I have to be honest here, I am striving to achieve some kind of balance. Blog.. and work. I'm doing fairly well, sort of. I'll have to learn to play on the computer in my spare time. I am not familiar with chat rooms, nor do I go on ebay. Meez.com was fun but not something I would of ever signed on to or had knowledge of. I'll probably just squeeze by with all these assignments. I do plan to continue learning about the computer and what all it's capabilities are. But I'll most often forget what the site was or what it was called; since it's not something I do with any familiarity. I do however makes notes so I can use these sites again. I have a digital camera and love taking pictures , and I'm getting familar with different wed sites pertaining to making books with my pictures or a calendar or just cards for my personal use. Doing what I love to do and loving what I do is what makes me a happy person.

Another day and I'm still feeling overwhelmed. So much information to remember : What's my user name and my password. Do I have an accout on yahoo? have I made a flicker account and if so what did I call it?? I have to remember to breath in breath out relax.

Fontana Regional Learning: 23 Things!

Fontana Regional Learning: 23 Things!
Learning is fun.
If I do it enough times It'll be easier for me to remember it. I accept that I an challenged at computer usage but I am positive that the end result will turn out good.

computers are not my forte!

I've attempted this blog at least 8 times now.. where the blog went is anyones guess. I'm definatly computer challenaged as well as remote control, dvd player, cell phone.. most electronics devices. I am most comfortable in the garden with my camera, or walking with my dog corndog. I can do alot of things well and only a few of them I do real good.
